The FilmFestival Cottbus and the Public Regional and City Library C. Norwid in Zielona Góra continue their successful cooperation. Dr. Andrzej Buck, director of the Library C. Norwid Library, and Bernd Buder, programme director of FFC, sign the cooperation agreement in Cottbus' Polish twin town on March 13th, 2018.
The agreement emphasises the exchange between the FFC and the Zielona Góra Film and Theatre Festival (Zielonogórski Festiwal Filmu i Teatru, ZFFiT). The Norwid Library is organizer and one of 14 venues of the Polish Festival, which is directed by Dr. Andrzej Buck as art director.
With the agreement, the FFC and ZFFiT confirm their intention to continue consulting each other on artistic ideas, organise film presentations and work together in the field of youth film education.
Following the programme concept, the focus of the ZFFiT is traditionally on great personalities from the Polish film and theatre world. This year these are Maciej Maciej Kozłowski, Janusz Głowacki and Gustaw Holoubek. The 4th Zielona Góra Film and Theatre Festival "Kozzi – Kozłowski Głowacki – Holoubek" will take place from June 9th to 13th, 2018 in the cities of Zielona Góra, Szprotawa and Żary.

Just three days after signing the cooperation agreement, Cottbus and Zielona Góra will meet again as cineastic twin cities. On March 16th, 2018, Angela Schuster will personally present her short film ZMIJ – THE DRAGON at the school amateur film show of the 5th Lyceum "Krzysztof Kieslowski" in Zielona Góra. In 2016, the filmmaker won the main prize at the 14th Filmschau Cottbus.
The 5th lyceum - a school with a strong pedagogical orientation on film and media - is hosting the amateur film show for the ninth time on the occasion of the anniversary of the death of Polish cult director Krzysztof Kieslowski. The event offers an insight into the students' cinematic work, with a jury awarding prizes in various categories to the best films.
