We are in the middle of the 33rd FFC and there are great event scheduled today. In the evening, a true highlight awaits you with the first Long Night of the Short Lusatians. At 7pm and 9pm there will be a total of ten films from and about Lusatia.

On November 9th, we will once again commemorate the 1938 pogrom together with Cottbuser Aufbruch and the city of Cottbus. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., you can pause at the city fountain. It is also possible to talk personally with the organisers about the historical background and fates.

The visually stunning FullDome programme awaits you again in the planetarium. Global warming, microbes, vegetable markets or animal carcasses, the 360° projections in the dome of the Cottbus space flight planetarium offer space for all kinds of philosophical, artistic, abstract and technical cinematic experiences.

As you've probably already discovered, cinema king Knut Elsterman will be back at the FFC and will be presenting his radio eins show live from the Stadthalle from 7pm to 9pm. Guests are very welcome! Admission is free.

The Oberkirche St. Nikolai will become a place of intercultural, interdenominational and interreligious encounters from 5 pm today - and a venue for the FilmFestival Cottbus. The Ukrainian-Polish short film competition entry AS IT WAS will be presented, co-directed by Damian Kocur, who won the FFC Director's Prize in 2022. Admission is free.

Attention film fans! In the evening, you can put your knowledge to the test at the Zweitenquiz in the Bunten Bahnhof! Alone or in groups - prove yourselves over several exciting rounds. Admission costs 7 euros (5 euros for students).
