FFA-Short Tiger 2017 and ticket to Cannes for FilmFestival Cottbus-Trailer director

On 16 March, the "Short Tiger 2017" were presented by the German Federal Film Board (FFA) in Berlin. Five extraordinary short films were awarded. One of the films focusing on flight and migration came from the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf – MEINUNGSAUSTAUSCH (lit. EXCHANGE OPINIONS), directed by Sophie Linnenbaum and Sophia Bösch. The experimental documentary film tackles the fear of the Germans of the unknown and strangers through a fictitious dialogue. Sophie Linnenbaum directed the trailer for the FilmFestival Cottbus 2015 with the focus on "Eastern Europe of Cities".

The prize winners will receive a prize money of 5,000 Euro as well as an invitation to the Cannes Film Festival. Their films will be shown as an international premiere within the short film program "Next Generation Short Tiger 2017".
