THE LAST FAMILY New Europe Film Sales

"FilmPOLSKA", the largest Polish film festival outside Poland, will take place from 3rd  to 10th  May in Berlin for the 12th time. From the somnambolian techno-trip "All These Sleepness Nights" to the mother-daughter docudrama "You Have No Idea How Much I Love You", the festival gives an impression of the entire range of contemporary Polish cinema, from the traditionally strong documentary film to internationally acclaimes arthouse films and national blockbusters. This year, a competition section is added to FilmPOLSKA for the first time. The focus is on seven up-to-date, innovative films of young filmmakers, who have the potential to shape the cinema in the future. Bernd Buder, program director of the FilmFestival Cottbus, participates in the jury, alongside Anke Leweke, film journalist and member of the Berlinale selection committee, and the filmmaker Marcin Malaszczak. The FilmFestival Cottbus presents THE LAST FAMILY at FilmPOLSKA, which won the prizes for the best debut film and the best male actor in2016. In addition to THE LAST FAMILY, five other titles previously screened at the FilmFestival Cottbus, are shown at FilmPOLSKA: PLANET SINGLE, THESE DAUGHTERS OF MINE, BABY BUMP, WAVES and the family film ADVENTURERS CLUB.
