In the interview, our program director Bernd Buder describes, among other things, the relevance of Ukrainian cinema, even independent of the war. Films from Ukraine have always been an integral part of the European film landscape and thus also of the FFC program. In this festival year, a total of 13 films from and 3 films about Ukraine are represented in the program of FilmFestival Cottbus. Thus, the FFC presents at least one Ukrainian contribution in almost every section.
Friday, November 11, is the so-called "Ukrainian Day" at the FFC with six films and two panel discussions on the topic.
