The Russian film LOVELESS | NELYUBOV - shown at the 27th FilmFestival Cottbus in the section Russkiy Den - is nominated for the OSCAR as Best Foreign Language Film.
The drama of director Andrey Zvyagintsev tells the story of an ego-driven battle for divorce with fatal consequences: Boris and Zhenya's shared apartment is already up for sale. Twelve-year-old Alyosha suffers from his parents' persistent petty arguments, as well as the viewings of potential buyers. One day he suddenly disappears.
The 90th Academy Awards ceremony will take place on 4th March 2018.
