Bernd Buder, programme director of the FilmFestival Cottbus, will travel to Bratislava from March 19th to 21st for the 25th ‘Febiofest’.
The festival, which emerged from the film club scene, will take place in Bratislava from March 17th to 21st, followed by screenings in ten other cities in Slovakia. Nine sections explore the history and present of international cinema. The competition "In the Heart of Europe" includes 20 short films of all genres - short fiction films, animations, documentaries, experimental films - from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Austria, including THE LITTLE ONE by Diana Cam Van Nguyen, which was featured at the Cottbus 2017 Film Festival focus on "Vietnam in Europe", and Dužan Duong's BO HAI, which ran in the Youth Film Competition.
For the third time, the Febiofest is organising its Industry Days with panel discussions and master classes as well as the screening of brand-new Slovakian films for festival scouts and distributors.
