Spotlight Romania at Il Kino Berlin

FilmFestival Cottbus as guest at Il Kino Berlin (Neukölln).

The Romanian Cultural Institute will show four selected films of the section "Spotlight România" from the last FFC on March 18 and 19.

On Sunday, following the films, there will be a discussion with Peter Domasch of the Berlinale's European Film Market and FFC program director Bernd Buder on the role of Romanian cinema in the international film landscape.

Ghostly social drama in a Romanian mountain village. Half-Roma Matthias hastily returns from his work in a slaughterhouse in Germany because his son Rudi has seen something mysterious in the local forest and has gone silent. At the same time, the arrival of three workers from Sri Lanka plunges the multi-ethnic village community into a chaos of mistrust and xenophobia.
