FFC Program Director Curates Ukrainian Film Series on EFA Streaming Platform

Under the title "Ukrainian Cinema Now," the European Film Academy is streaming 16 Ukrainian films made between Euromaidan 2014 and the beginning of the Russian attack on Ukraine on its Academy VOD Platform until July 10.

The selection was curated by FFC program director Bernd Buder. It exemplifies the artistic and thematic range of current Ukrainian cinema - creative energy between historical and contemporary reflection, war trauma reappraisal and transformation documentation.

The selection includes Berlinale, Cannes and Venice participants such as Marina Er Gorbach's KLONDIKE, Myroslaw Slaboshpyzkyij's THE TRIBE and Valentyn Vasyanovych's RFELECTION. With Nadia Parfan's HEAT SINGERS, Alena Demyanenko's MY GRANDMOTHER FANNY KAPLAN and other titles, the program also includes films that have been shown in Cottbus in recent years.

The streaming offer highlights a cinema landscape that has developed into one of the most interesting cinematographies in Europe in a very short time. The streaming offer is aimed exclusively at members of the European Film Academy.
