This grandfather, with his wonderful sense of humour, doesn't shy from donning a rabbit costume on the occasion of a child's birthday. For his own birthday he wants to complete a parachute jump. His son on the other hand can't imagine taking up arms in defence of the motherland, whilst seven-year-old granddaughter Ksenia recites poetry in her grandfather's honour.

Evgeny Kalinin has created an intimate portrait, and thus unique perspective from an outsider's perspective, of the Litvin family whose members, from generation to generation, display a consistently unconventional approach to the issue of war, which remains of utmost importance up to the present day in Russia.
