Interviews with refugees from East Germany, who flocked via land and sea to the embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in October 1989, ultimately hoping to make it to the West. Shortly beforehand the GDR had closed its border with Hungary, short afterwards the Iron Curtain fell.

Documentary and Feature Film Studios (WFDiF)

The refugees speak of exhausting journeys, political persecution at home and a general fear for relatives left behind. The first rough cut having been completed in 1990, the film wasn't actually released in its present form until 2009. BB
