2013-03-11 Cottbus in Sofia and Vilnius
By the end of this week Bernd Buder is travelling first to the Bulgarian capital Sofia and a few days later to Lithuanian metropolis Vilnius. In both cities he is visiting the film festivals and their markets.
By way of awarding a total of three prizes during the East European Brunch, the FilmFestival Cottbus, together with the East-West co-production market connecting cottbus, launches itself into the new festival season.

2012-11-11 Award Winners - Screening tonight
Today the Audience Award winner HALIMAS WAY and the winner of the Main Prize for Best Film WOMEN’S DAY will be screened again at the Stadthalle.
Three of the main prizes go to polish films: The main prize for the best film goes to WOMENS DAY, the special prize for best director to YOU ARE GOD and the main prize in the Short Film Competition to ALL SOULS DAY.

The Serbian filmmaker Goran Radovanovic tells his personal story about his connection to Ibero-America. In 2009 he taught documentary filmmaking at Havana and shooted his film WITH FIDEL WHATEVER HAPPENS.
At the Long Night of the Shorts we welcome the macedonian actress Ana Stojanovska as a new member of our international Jury for the Short Films.
