Last nights opening ceremony of the 23rd FilmFestival Cottbus saw international film guest, representatives of media, business and politics – all joined together to celebrate a special night „in blue“.
The 23rd edition of FilmFestival Cottbus starts tomorrow. For six days the city of Cottbus will become the meeting point for Central and East European film friends and supporters, from Germany and abroad.
Film Festival Cottbus is presenting two movies at Solanin Film Festival in Nowa Sól Poland this Friday. Both movies were part of last years programme in Cottbus.
2013-08-01 Research in Locarno
From the 9th to 12th August, the Head of Programme Department Bernd Buder will visit the 66th edition of the Festival del Film Locarno. The Swiss festival is one of the most influential ones in Europe.
2013-07-23 Presentation at Partner Festival in Wroclaw
The FilmFestival Cottbus and the Wroclaw IFF have been working together in partnership for several years now. This co-operation includes a programme exchange. This week, Cottbus presents itself at the Polish metropolis.
2013-07-14 FFC goes Black Sea
From July 15 to 19, Bernd Buder, Head of Programme Department of FilmFestival Cottbus, can be met at the Odessa International Film Festival in the Ukraine.
Until June 22, the Collegium Hungaricum Berlin, in cooperation with the International Romani Film Commission and supported by the FilmFestival Cottbus, presents the event series Cineromani – Empowering Roma Filmmakers.
2013-03-11 Cottbus in Sofia and Vilnius
By the end of this week Bernd Buder is travelling first to the Bulgarian capital Sofia and a few days later to Lithuanian metropolis Vilnius. In both cities he is visiting the film festivals and their markets.
By way of awarding a total of three prizes during the East European Brunch, the FilmFestival Cottbus, together with the East-West co-production market connecting cottbus, launches itself into the new festival season.
