The week from November 10th to 15th was very eventful for all of us. This year the 19th Festival of East European Cinema set some records: more visitors than ever before watched the movies, more films than ever before have been submitted, never before so many prizes have been awarded and never ever the festival was more popular! No wonder, because the quality of the films shown increased a lot, audience, jury and participants say.

Before the international competition for the “LUBINA” began, outstanding amateur film makers from Berlin-Brandenburg region have been awarded at 7th Cottbus FilmShow. This year´s FilmShow set a new record, with 500 visitors in a sold-out Cinema (Weltspiegel).
