A reunion with TRIUMPH: Bulgarian Film Week in Berlin

A reunion with TRIUMPH…

In 2025, TRIUMPH by Kristina Grozeva and Petar Valchanov screened in the feature film competition of the FFC. Now there is another opportunity to see this grotesque film about the attempts of a special unit of the Bulgarian military in the early 1990s to search—assisted by a clairvoyant—for something like a philosopher’s stone, in order to “lead humanity to victory.” A story that, unbelievably, is based on real events.

The feature film will be shown as part of the Bulgarian Film Week, during which the Bulgarian Cultural Institute presents a total of seven recent Bulgarian films at Berlin’s Klick Kino from April 23–29, 2026. Also included is HUMBLE, the latest film by Svetoslav Draganov, who previously presented The Children of Drujba (2009) and Life Almost Wonderful(2013) in Cottbus. HUMBLE is his first feature film.
