The FilmFestival Cottbus (November 4–9, 2025) is celebrating its 35th edition and making a strong statement for sustainability. Together with our film production market connecting cottbus (coco), the festival has for many years assumed ecological, social, and economic responsibility.
With certification by Green Events Hamburg, this commitment is now also officially visible. The FFC is currently undergoing a comprehensive process that reviews all areas of festival operations in terms of sustainability – from fair use of resources and environmentally friendly mobility to sustainable catering.
The goal is to make the festival even more climate-friendly, socially equitable, and future-oriented in the long term. Because the cinema of the future is green.
