FilmFestival Cottbus at the 26th goEast Film Festival in Wiesbaden

Last Friday, FFC Program Coordinator Merlin Webers attended the 26th edition of the goEast Film Festival in Wiesbaden, where he moderated the Q&A for director Giedrė Žickytė’s film A GOODNIGHT KISS. What followed was an intense and engaging conversation that ultimately lasted 45 minutes.

A GOODNIGHT KISS is a sensitive tribute to Irena Veisaitė: Holocaust survivor, cultural figure, and tireless voice for humanity. The film weaves together past and present to create the portrait of an extraordinary woman who dedicated her life to compassion and humanity.

The goEast Film Festival presents the full diversity of Central and Eastern European filmmaking in Wiesbaden and at various other locations throughout the Rhine-Main region, and will take place this year from May 21–27, 2026.
