FFC film presentation & panel discussion: THREE THOUSAND NUMBERED PIECES

As part of this year's Pentecost campaign of Renovabis, the Solidarity initiative of the German Catholics with the people in Central and Eastern Europe, the film THREE THOUSAND NUMBERED PIECES (Háromezer számozott darab) will be shown on May 24, 2025 at 5:00 pm at the Kino Krokodil. The event takes place in the context of the opening programme of the campaign "Full of Dignity. Empowering people in Eastern Europe" in the Archdiocese of Berlin.

The film by Ádám Császi, which screened in the feature film competition at the Cottbus Film Festival in 2023, is an unsparing reflection on systemic racism, paternalistic approaches to art and the limits of supposedly progressive discourses. The starting point is a theatre project with Roma actresses, which increasingly becomes a mirror of social power relations.

The film screening will be followed by a panel discussion with the director Ádám Császi, among others.

As a long-standing project partner of Renovabis, Concordia International is committed to helping children from Roma communities in several Eastern European countries in order to open up educational and future prospects for them.

Admission is free. An event organised by Renovabis in cooperation with the FilmFestival Cottbus.
