The FilmFestival Cottbus is an international event and you can hear it! All our films are presented in their original language, allowing the cultural and linguistic diversity of Eastern European cinema to be experienced in its most authentic form.
To make sure everyone can follow along, we provide English subtitles and either German subtitles or a German simultaneous translation.
For language lovers: At the Obenkino, films are screened in their original language with English subtitles only.
Please note that there may be exceptions. We recommend checking the respective language version of each screening on our website before attending.
A special note applies to the section HEIMAT | DOMOWNJA | DOMIZNA: Films in this section are screened without English subtitles.
Simultaneous translations into English are not available.
