Awards for three FFC films: THE NEW YEAR THAT NEVER CAME by Bogdan Mureșanu and @TIKTOK_COWBOY impressed at the 19th Gopo Awards, the Romanian film awards.

Mureșanu's at times black-humorous portrayal of the emotional chaos on the eve of the Romanian revolution in December 1989 won ten awards, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress and Best Actor. The Romanian-Serbian co-production screened in the 2024 FFC Spectrum.

@TIKTOK_COWBOY by Anastaseu Ștefan won the Gopo Award for Best Short Film. The Kafkaesque film about a young Roma influencer during the Covid lockdown was screened in the FFC short film competition.

Meanwhile, the Latvian-French-Belgian animated film FLOW by Gints Zilbalodis received another prestigious prize in the form of the LUX Audience Award. The pan-European Audience Award was presented in the European Parliament. The fascinating animated drama is about a cat that flees a flood disaster and fights for survival together with other animals. FLOW was shown 2024 im FFC-Spectrum.
