Box office hits and street sweepers!

In their production countries, Central and Eastern European productions often compete successfully with Marvel, Disney & Co. for the favor of the audience.

With their specific humor, their allusions to regional mentalities, political culture and history, they strike a chord with their audiences.

This year's "Hits" focus on great stories from "small" production countries - national blockbusters and TV series ranging from rousing medieval crime thrillers to cross-dressers' portraits, intelligent political re-enactments, starlet biographies and medieval action: plots with a true core, entertainment factor and recognition value.
