An immersive, intoxicating experience played out in a public space: FullDome film screenings combine a unique 3D viewing experience with a visit to the cinema. FullDome filmmakers continue to explore the possibilities of a cinematic genre that has made a significant contribution to the development of modern VR formats. In doing so they expand a format, originally reserved for didactic films on the topic of astrophysics, into a collective experience that is labyrinthine, shadowy, and fast-paced. Experiments with shape, colour and pixels that increasingly incorporate narrative moments and reflections on the visions and limits of the global community.  (Bernd Buder)

The leading German fulldome festival, it showcases current productions from all over the globe and discusses technical innovations and their influence on artistic narrative forms.
