Kino PoZa NoVa im Miejski Dom Zgorzelec

The Miejski Dom Kultury, the former Upper Lusatian memorial hall, regularly hosts theatre courses. However, theatre performances at the Dom Kultury are very rare and are often performed by ensembles from other cities. In the Görlitz Theatre or the Apollo Theatre in the neighbouring town, there are also theatre performances in Polish or plays and operettas with Polish subtitles. Sometimes the ensemble from Jelenia Góra also performs in Görlitz.

In the cinema and auditorium of the Miejski Dom Kultury, the Phantom theatre group rehearses for the annual street theatre festival of the two neighbouring cities. At the international street theatre festival ViaThea, artists and theatre groups from all over Europe meet in the twin city of Görlitz/Zgorzelec to present their plays on public streets, squares and parks east and west of the Neisse River for a weekend.
