Milena discovers the footage whilst cleaning up the flat, shortly after learning that she has breast cancer. She attempts to banish thoughts of the illness from her mind by making the beds and dusting the cupboards. In the process a little-known chapter from the past comes to light, which in turn sheds light on the present: who is this man with whom I cohabitate? And who are the now adolescent children, with whom meaningful exchange is at best sporadic? The cruel discovery thus coincides with a mid-life crisis, as Karanović oscillates between bouts of affection and desperation with a performance full of psychological depth and a remarkable spectrum of emotional nuances.

An intimate portrait that deals with falsehoods both familial and national, in which protagonist Milena remains at the forefront without, in the process, being reduced to a pawn in a political morality play. The idea behind the film was pitched at coco back in 2012. BB
