Festival Trailer 2016

Natalia Sinelnikova
Germany, 2016, 1 Min

The festival's trailer WINDMAKER unites Eastern European cinema with the Socialist state Cuba which is the prelude to the new Focus programme section.

Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF

In what has evolved into a festival tradition over the years, the festival trailer is produced by a team of students from the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. This year's director is Natalia Sinelnikova, with the end result drawing a conceptual link with the Focus programme section, this time around dedicated to communist Cuba, in turn marking the commencement of a cycle dedicated to the ways in which filmmakers from both previous and current Socialist states beyond Europe's borders reflect on the everyday challenges and political culture of their homelands.
