Once home, a dispute unfolds between Andrey and his elder brother Maksim, with the latter of a more moderate disposition vis-à-vis the authorities and convinced of the possibility of bringing about change via peaceful means. The situation escalates when Andrey is arrested.

Produced in cooperation with the VGIK film school in Moscow, the film portrays a state willing to act with brutality. Though adopting a crime thriller approach, director Mitry Semenov-Aleynikov manages to provoke debate on an issue of great contemporary relevance. MM
