Virtual Reality and 360° are the new big thing. But the FilmFestival Cottbus is ahead of its time, for the third time in a row Fulldome Films are shown here. These Dome Films make it possible to tell new stories and to experience old ones in a new way. Rather than observing from a safe distance, the viewer is placed directly into the heat of the action. This year stories of the Maori and by Karly May surround the visitors. There are experiments, the exploration of space and a cat hunting nightmares. HW
