The Czech Mars expedition is a strange force. The financier is a feisty oligarch who wants to fulfill his girlfriend's wish of a wedding on Mars. He’s permanently wrangling with the commander and the engineer about the daily shower water quota. The psychologist was supposed to be mediating, but she has a problem of her own – with the narcissistic Vendy who firmly believes that she's in a reality rather than on Mars. Moreover, she has seduced the robot Bot whose experience of life is largely based on the contents of a tattered Trashman comic. Does the mission stand a chance with all these interpersonal complications?

Director Benjamin Tuček, one of the brains behind the political satire KANCELÁŘ BLANÍK, has found kindred spirits for his project between trash comedy and space adventure: the actors of the Vosto5 theatre group are known for their offbeat humour and predilection for gags and improvisation. CF

Benjamin Tuček - born in 1972 in Brno, ČSSR (today Czech Republic). He first worked in photography before studying screenwriting and dramaturgy at the FAMU in Prague. He is the director and, above all, screenwriter of numerous documentaries, feature films and TV films, including the Czech cult series KANCELÁŘ BLANÍK and the feature film PREZIDENT BLANÍK (FFC 2018) based on the show.
