A questionable win. The mother is lying ill in bed and urgently needs medication. The father has to fight his way alone with his son Victor, but is penniless. His boss owes him money, but it is unclear when he will get it. So, what to do?

To get money, he enters Victor in one of the illegal children's fights organized in the slums. The winner can look forward to 100 euros in prize money. Well-to-do spectators watch from a safe distance of their luxury limousines as the children of the precariat beat each other to bits. As in many of his films, Igor Cobileanski, born in the Republic of Moldova, paints a gloomy picture of his country. MM

Igor Cobileanski - born in 1974 in Comrat, USSR (today Republic of Moldova). He graduated from the Bucharest Academy of Theatre and Film and worked as an actor before directing various documentaries and short films. In 2013 he presented his feature film debut LA LIMITA DE JOS A CERULUI at the FFC – and many other film festivals – and was awarded the FIPRESCI Prize for it.
