A nihilistic misfit and everyday legal temp, Roman is confronted by an unfathomable case: A schoolboy goes on a shooting spree, killing fellow pupils, teachers and himself in the process. On collecting further documents related to the case at the local police station, Roman gains greater insight into the background of the case; The dry facts of the crime dossier are given a new dimension, first and foremost thanks to the schoolgirl Laura, who confides personal memories of the crime to him. STAUDAMM is an evocative film that sensitively deals with the issue of mourning.

Thomas Sieben - – born 1976 in Cologne. Studied film and photography at the Massachusetts College of Art. DISTANZ (DISTANCE), his feature film debut featuring Ken Duken as an unlikely serial killer, was shown on German screens for the first time at the 2009 Berlinale and subsequently featured at several international film festivals.
