Two women, two lives; one with her whole adult life ahead of her, the other living out her final years.

In soft tones the director narrates an encounter between two women in Warsaw. One is 19 and comes from Germany. The other is 91 and a survivor of the Auschwitz concentration camp. Although age, experience and language separate them, the two women grow close, showing undisguised affection in the process. A tender and moving portrait of humanity, without pathos or pretence. A conciliatory and contemplative portrait of an encounter between two worlds. KM
