The dog days of summer between hedonism and ignorance. A mother searches for her children in a crowded lido. The seriousness of the situation soon becomes clear. Yet while some begin to grasp the unimaginable, others continue to lounge around in the shade. They enjoy the summer breeze. Comedy turns into tragedy, or is it a laughing matter after all?

Adam Martinec - After studying philosophy, Adam Martinec studies directing at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU). His last short film „Anatomy of a Czech Afternoon“ was was selected as one of the Top 10 Student Films from Europe for Future Frames organized by EFP presented at KVIFF and won the Best Short Film Award at the Czech Film Critics' Awards and two Czech Lions. Currently he’s working on his feature length debut movie „Slaughter“.
