The Lenin myth is just as omnipresent as images of the man himself. An experimental, meditative documentary film collage in which these monuments enter into dialogue with one another and sum up the fall of the Soviet Union with the following words: "It wasn't my fault".

Serbian director Gorana Jovanović finds them everywhere, images of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, or Lenin for short: surrounded by knowledge on a bookshelf, raised between the fir trees in a spruce grove or watching over the alpacas peacefully grazing around him. At the Arctic Circle, in a fascinatingly barren landscape, the filmmaker locates the world's northernmost Lenin monument in a former workers' settlement, now long abandoned. There the world seems to be at the feet of the forever stern-looking thinker. She imagines him in dialogue with himself and, as he gazes into the everlasting ice, allows him to reaffirm: "It wasn't my fault."
