Those who value their lives should stick to the rules in the provincial Slovakian towns of Rimavská Sobota and Lučenec. Since the two territories inhabited by Slovaks, Hungarians and Romani are quite clearly divided. In one loan shark Armin, aka Luciano, can do as he pleases. The other belongs to the gangster Šani. Without a violation of the rules there can be no plot however and so it is that an absurd avalanche of action, driven by greed and irrational love, soon rolls through these otherwise tranquil streets. In the process such shameless cheating and lying occurs that it isn’t long before guns, fists and the arts of seduction collide, as everything descends into chaos. In an approach full of irony, Rastislav Boroš manages to repeatedly redefine the rules, only to violate them again shortly afterwards and, in a manner akin to that of his protagonists, explore the limits of what is permissible.

Rastislav Boroš - Slovak screenwriter and director Rastislav Boros (1979) studied screenwriting at the Film Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, where he continues to teach at the Film Directing Department. Boros wrote several screenplays for both film and TV series. His 2015 directorial debut “Stanko” is followed by his second feature “Goldilocks and the Glorious Losers”, self-produced under his production company Lipstick.
