The new dean at the art academy sets out to finally put an end to sexism on campus when one of her students becomes the victim of a sex murder. Cult director Jan Hřebejk takes a close look at sexism and political correctness in his new mini-series. The worldviews of his protagonists, including a lesbian investigator and Soňa, who compensates for her marital frustration by writing an erotic satire, clash and clash.

Jan Hřebejk - Born 1967, Czech Director and writer. He graduated from Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU) at 1991 majoring in screenplay and dramaturgy. He was at FAMU alongside screenwriter Petr Jarchovský a frequent collaborator.

Hrebejk's first major box-office success was Big Beat (1993), a rock and roll comedy set in the 1950s. The film won four Czech Lion awards, including Best Film and Best Director for Hrebejk.[1] In 1996 Hrebejk directed a children's TV series, Where Stars Fall (1996), which was syndicated around Europe. The writing and production team behind Big Beat subsequently reunited for two further films, Cosy Dens (Czech: Pelisky; 1999) and Divided We Fall (Czech: Musime si pomahat; 2000), both of which became enormously successful within the Czech Republic. His 2009 film Kawasaki's Rose (2009)  was selected as the Czech entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 83rd Academy Awards, but it didn't make the final shortlist. Other films are Innocence (Nevinnost, 2011), The Holy Queternity (Svata Ctverice, 2012),  Honeymoon (Libanky, 2013), Icing (Zakazane uvolneni, 2014), The Teacher (Ucitelka, 2016).

He is a long-term collaborator of Czech Television. He directed Tv-series and Tv-movies like Redl (2018), Five Dead Dogs (2016), Living Targets (2019), Veteran (2020), Mills of God (2021) or Behind the Curtain (2022).
