It's Lena's birthday and yet nobody appears to notice. It's All Souls' Day; in Catholic Poland occasion to commemorate the faithful departed, only afterwards are attentions tur¬ned to the living. Each and every person in this film makes the most of the opportunity to remember those no longer among us in his/her unique way. Her younger brother, for instance, insists on going to the cemetery in a skeleton costume, Lena however senses that she has to tread a different path before she's ready for the deceased. In the course of an evening she learns a great deal about herself and her family, ultimately however it's her brother who gives her the greatest gift of all.

Aleksandra Terpińska - born 1983 in Krakow. Having graduated in psychology she is currently studying directing at the Krzysztof Kieslowski Faculty of Radio & Television at the University of Katowice. Her short film LESZCZU was screened at this year's Berlinale Talent Campus.
