Poland in the mid-sixties. The brothers Tadek and Andrzej join a right-wing extremist gang. On finding out, their mother announces her intention to emigrate together with them to Australia. In reality however the destination is Israel; the family is in fact of Jewish extraction, something mother has to date kept quiet for fear of negative repercussions.

A deft, humourous interweaving of a tale of coming-of-age together with a troublesome search for a new identity in light of personal and social anti-Semitism.

Ami Drozd - born 1953 in Warsaw. Emigrated to Israel at the age of eleven. Studied TV and Film at Saddleback College in Los Angeles. Worked on Israeli TV for fifteen years before founding his own production company in 1995.
