The director’s second film again explores the complexity of relationships. Petr Drozdov is a high-ranking official from Moscow, who visits a provincial museum of a half-forgotten Russian classic upon request of the region’s governor, who wants to take away the land from the museum and construct a new residence there. Drozdov seems supports his decision, but then he meets the museum’s deputy director, the literary critic Masha, who changes his view not only on the museum’s site, but also about life in general… BiB
