A Polish musician finds himself robbed and stranded in the eastern Ukrainian industrial city of Donetsk. There he is approached by ten-year-old Dima: the orphan is looking for a “father for the day”, in order to be eligible to enlist for a football training session. The snag: the Pole Timon is an alcoholic. Nevertheless Dima gives his all in order to recruit the new friend into his plans.

A charming look at an unusual friendship, which throws a conciliatory light on the economically depressed Donets Basin without turning a blind eye to the everyday worries of the region’s inhabitants.
