Winter in New York. Sasha, a Russian illegal immigrant, breaks up with her married British-Armenian carpet salesman lover and needs to find a job. Babken wants to become an actor, but his wife doesn't support his new hobby. Hamlet, his cousin, is a transsexual hiding his identity from his family. After PORTRET V SUMERKAKH (2011) the duo Nikonova / Dikhovichnaya returns with a light-hearted comedy about people from various cultural backgrounds united by the search for the American dream. The opening scene was shot at the closing ceremony of 22nd FilmFestival Cottbus in 2012.

Angelina Nikonova - – born 1976 in Rostov-on-Don, USSR (today Russia). Director, scriptwriter and producer, she studied film at the School of Visual Arts in New York. In 2011 she won numerous awards, including the main award at the FilmFestival Cottbus, for her debut feature film Portret v sumerkakh / TWILIGHT PORTRAIT.
