SECTION: Ukranian Film Day

The war against Ukraine is not over, and it repeatedly appears as though the aggression is increasing. We are almost getting used to the daily news of more drone attacks, deaths and deliberately destroyed infrastructure. How are the people affected by this? When will there be a moment to calm down and pretend that there is no war? How does the war affect fathers? How does it affect the environment? What psychological damage does fear and stress cause every day? How do people cope? And how will Ukrainians feel when the war is over? Once again, the FFC is presenting numerous films from and about Ukraine, drawing attention to a highly creative film scene that reflects the situation in their country in a wide variety of artistic ways, ranging from direct observations of everyday life to laconic sketches.

This year's Ukrainian Day on the Saturday of the festival once again invites refugees from Ukraine to become part of our film festival community with free admission.

Український день і цього року в суботу фестивалю запрошує біженців з Українистати частиною нашої фестивальної спільноти з безкоштовним входом.
