NU, POGODI!

JUST YOU WAIT!

Vyacheslav Kotyonochkin
USSR, 1978-1985, 70 Min
Progress Film-Verleih GmbH

Whether at the lake, the talent contest or the funfair – again and again the wolf tries to catch the rabbit. But he always fails because of his immense greed and the cunningness of his chosen victim. He is left with his roar “Nu, pogodi!” (Just you wait!), I will get you next time.

The desperate curse of the wolf has already become a popular catchphrase. The seven short films are full of wit and turbulence but still carry subtle moral messages.
