Ibro and his 13-year-old son Armin make their way from their Bosnian hometown to Zagreb, where a German production company has invited Armin to audition for a part in a war film. The trip to the city is like a visit to a different planet: nothing goes to plan, Armin fails to get the part, and Ibro’s casual chumminess cuts no ice with the film people. A subtle and tragi-comic description of the clash of cultures between the West fixated on stock images of the misery of war, and the East in search of respect.
