It is the 29th of February and Klara must move the year’s clock to March exactly at 6pm. But February, always harbouring the feeling of being disadvantaged, sides with the Frosty Prince. He calls him to the palace. Disguised as the compassionate monk Martin, the Prince weakens the Queen more and more each day. Yet the March Lady finds the recipe for a potion that has the power to protect against the influence of these frosty forces. She, cook Valentin and the ‘chicken girl’ Luise go on a quest for the potion’s ingredients and find the first three with help from June and the September Lady: violets, strawberries and an apple. But the fourth ingredient, the last flurry of snow, can only come from February ...

THE FAIRY TALE OF THE 12 MONTHS, based on themes by Josef Wenzig, was newly filmed for the ARD fairy tale series “Sechs auf einen Streich” (six in one sweep) under the aegis of Radio Bremen. 46 films have been produced in this context since 2008. Eight of these premièred at the FFC. AD
