Come Along

Igor Šterk
Slovenia, 2016, 83 Min

In search of photo opportunities for a school competition a group of four thirteen-year-olds head to a remote woodland. There they not only manage to get lost, but also attract the attentions of a stalker; or is it in fact all a figment of their imaginations?

Manc is to be expelled from school over a stolen mobile phone. Together with friends Špurč, Oto and Mina he secretly makes his way to a secluded woodland area he knows from childhood, with the intention of taking photos for a school competition entitled “uncharted Slovenia”. Cut off from civilisation and, by extension, the phone network, they manage to convince themselves that they are not only lost, but also being followed by a stalker. Whilst attempting to regain their bearings, stories of the forest and its reclusive inhabitants are told, as well as the truth about the missing mobile.

An enthralling story on coming-of-age, relationships and the courage to explore what happens when technology fails. AB
