Mia and the Minotaur
Eight-year-old Mia loves to be read stories by her brother Levin; for instance that of the wicked Minotaurus, a creature with the body of a human and head of a bull. All of a sudden however she's no longer permitted to see Levin, due to his addiction according to mama. Mia doesn't quite understand however and secretly lets Levin into the flat; he in turn suddenly behaves quite differently relative to how Mia has come to expect. She doesn't want to lose her brother however, and thus begins a battle which fuses reality with fantasy. An animated film that captivates by means of its highly imaginative animated sequences.

Florian Schnell - born 1984 in Lörrach. Graduated in performing arts from Hildesheim University. Currently studying directing and fiction film at the Ludwigsburg Academy of Film. Schnell is a scholarship-holder of the German National Academic Foundation and this year won the German Newcomer Award at the Hannover Film Festival.
