Performance
In this reinterpretation of the Sorbian legend of the Mittagsfrau/Pśezpołdnica, a family falls into a trap in two ways. The film was shot against enchanted backdrops in Cottbus and the nearby Spreewald forest. It was produced as a collaboration between filmmakers from the region and was supported by Kulturförderung Cottbus.

Miriam Bergmann - Miriam Bergmann (1986) grew up in the Swabian countryside near Ulm and decided early on against a middle-class career. Instead of studying tax law, she began studying film at the Merz Academy in Stuttgart in 2005, specialising in screenwriting and directing. After graduating in 2011, she worked as an art director in the advertising industry and met East German filmmaker Holger Bergmann on a project – their creative collaboration led to marriage. In 2018, Miriam worked as a VFX producer and artist on historical docudramas. A year later, she moved to Cottbus, where affordable housing, childcare places and grandparents support both family and film projects. Since 2022, she has been realising her own projects together with Bergmann Film: her short film ‘...Und schon wieder fallen Bomben’ (And Bombs Are Falling Again) received an audience award at the Cottbus Film Festival, and in 2024 the mystery thriller ‘Mittagskind’ (Noon Child) will be released, which will premiere in 2025.
