1948. Suddenly a soldier. Shoah survivor Lolek had been intending to go to Haifa to search for his sweetheart, instead however he ends up on a remote Israeli military post: desert, rocks, the blazing sun, and a ruthless commander. Rather than a longing for his homeland of old and working through past trauma, it is now brute strength that is required from him.
