The district of Görlitz has a full-time position for the Commissioner for Sorbian Affairs. In 2024, a motion by the AfD parliamentary group calls this office into question. The film explores this political event, takes it further and asks the question: if a population group is dependent on the goodwill of the majority population, what happens if this goodwill is no longer there? Lines by the Lower Sorbian poet Mina Witkojc (1893-1975) accompany a struggle for language and possibilities.

Luka Golinski - Luka Golinski is a cultural creator, filmmaker, member of the kolektiw WAKUUM for Sorbian art and (sub)culture, and graduate of the Lower Sorbian language revitalization project Zorja. His work primarily focuses on the intersection of Lower Sorbian and queer identity.His debut film PYTAŚ A NAMAKAŚ - Vom Suchen und Finden (PYTAŚ A NAMAKAŚ - On Searching and Finding) premiered at the 33rd FFC in 2023 and told a story of self-discovery as a trans person in a Sorbian village setting. This made the short film the first Lower Sorbian coming-out film. PYTAŚ A NAMAKAŚ has since been shown at various festivals and screenings in and outside Lusatia and has received positive feedback.
